Welcome to Tapestry Press!

We emphasize and promote environmental science education for adults.

Understanding the basics of air, water, soil and energy science connects us to nature.  Understanding the complexity of diversity, niches, food chains and decomposition fills us with awe and makes us humble.  Observing the intricate beauty of all life nourishes our spirit.

We confront a looming monster, global warming, that threatens the survival of human civilization.  Recognizing the peril, humanity must convert to renewable energy.  Ancient Amazonian people made bio char from crop wastes.  This practice enriched soil and sequestered carbon for 1500 years.  From this early waste utilization model, we find hope.

Other problems, especially, human overpopulation, resource depletion, air, water & soil pollution threaten the quality of future human existence.

Sustainable practices slow resource depletion. Bioremediation cleans some polluted sites.  Reducing consumption and reevaluating personal values increase joy.

Environmental science education guides folks along this path.  The greater our understanding, the greater our respect for nature.  The greater our understanding, the greater our appreciation of the simple life.

To advance our goal we publish environmental science laboratory books for college students.
